How to apply

1. Download an application form and appendix (supplied at the bottom of the page), fill it in and return it to us. If you have any questions about the form or would like any assistance, please contact the Grants Team who are happy to help.

2. We will send you an acknowledgement letter to confirm we have received your application. If you do not receive this within a week please phone us to make sure we have received your application

3. Applications will be checked by the small grants coordinator for any inappropriate claims, missing items or any other errors that could lead to the application being rejected by the panel.

4. If there are no errors, or they have been resolved the application will be submitted to the small grants panel. The panel meets once a month to and decides if the application should be approved, approved with conditions, or unsuccessful.

5. The applicants will be informed of the outcome, and any conditions. If they are not successful they will be told how to improve the application and resubmit it.

6. Contracts will be sent to successful applicants who will need to sign and return them before the cheques are released.

7. Once we are in receipt of the contracts, the cheques will be available for collection, or to be posted.

8. If you are sucessful we require you to monitor the people who benefit from your project. Shortly after your project is over we will be contacting you to obtain copies of your monitoring information and invoices receipts. We can help you prepare for this.

Please note

The application process for grants up to £250 differs in so much as there is no need for the application to go to the panel. It will instead be assessed by the grant coordinator.

The panel meets on the last working Monday of every month. Applications must be submitted two weeks before.
