All our courses and activities are free for families with a child under the age of 5 or who are expecting a new baby (apart from the Aquanatal group which costs £1.70 per session).

MONDAYS
NCFE Level 1/2 Childcare course, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9am-1pm. This course is full; please contact Burngreave Community Learning Campaign on 279 4960 for info on future courses.
Parent and Toddler Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1.30-3pm
Aquanatal and Baby Splash sessions, Concord Sports Centre, Shiregreen Lane, 1.30-2.30pm. Meet at 1.20pm to allow time to get changed. Aquanatal sessions – get fit to music in a supportive environment with a qualified midwife. Baby Splash sessions are for babies from 3 months onwards who have had their first injection, and this group is open to children up to 5 and dads as well! You will also have an opportunity to speak to a midwife with any questions you may have after the session.
TUESDAYS
CAB Advice sessions, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.30-12pm, 9.30-10.30 – appointments, 10.30-12 – drop-in. Access help and info from a Citizens' Advice Bureau worker on a wide range of issues, e.g. housing, benefits, debt, disability, consumer issues, immigration etc.
Mums and Tots Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, 10am-12pm.
Sheffield Information Link drop-in, Burngreave Children's Centre, 10am-12.30pm. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month (15th July, 19th August & 16th September 2008). Drop-in and see our Sheffield Information Link worker – you can get advice and information about areas such as childcare/nursery places, activities for children, education, careers and job vacancies in childcare/early years etc.
Conversation Class, The Furnival cafe, Verdon Street, 1-3pm. For parents who want to practise their English in a relaxed and informal setting!
Positive Parenting course, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1-3pm. From 13th May until 15th July (with no session during half-term week)

Breastfeeding Support Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.15-10am. Starting 23rd July. Part of the Baby Cafe – find out how to get support whilst breastfeeding, find out how breastfeeding actually works, and make friends with other mums while your baby meets other babies!
Burngreave Children's Centre Community Clinic, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.20-3.30pm. Antenatal sessions with a midife. Health Visitor available from 10-11.30am.

Fir Vale Community Clinic, Owlerbrook Children's Centre, 9.30-11am. Get support in a confidential and friendly way from a Health Visitor, Early Years worker, midwife offering baby massage and postnatal support (every week) and speech therapist (monthly). Baby massage also available (weekly).
Sheffield Information Link, Owlerbrook Children's Centre, 10am-12pm. On the 1st Thursday of each month (3rd July, 7th August, & 4th September 2008). See above (Tuesday) for more info.

Big Cook, Little Cook, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1-2.30pm. From 24th April until 3rd July. For parents and children over 2 – have a fun time cooking together with your kids while learning about healthy eating.

FRIDAYS
Play and Say, Burngreave Children's Centre, 10-11.30am. ongoing in 5-week blocks (current course 6th June – 4th July). For children over 2 – developing children’s communication and speaking skills, alongside encouraging play between parents and children with fun activities – help your little ones gain in confidence! Will link into the next Talking Toddlers course which we are hoping to run.
