All our courses and activities are free for families with a child under the age of 5 or who are expecting a new baby (apart from the Aquanatal group which costs £1.70 per session).

MONDAYS
NCFE Level 1/2 Childcare course, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9am-1pm. This course is full; please contact Burngreave Community Learning Campaign on 279 4960 for info on future courses.
Parent and Toddler Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1.30-3pm
Aquanatal and Baby Splash sessions, Concord Sports Centre, Shiregreen Lane, 1.30-2.30pm. Meet at 1.20pm to allow time to get changed. Aquanatal sessions – get fit to music in a supportive environment with a qualified midwife. Baby Splash sessions are for babies from 3 months onwards who have had their first injection, and this group is open to children up to 5 and dads as well! You will also have an opportunity to speak to a midwife with any questions you may have after the session.
Yoga4Families, Verdon Recreation Centre, Verdon Street, 1.30-3pm. From 21st April until 7th July. Yoga course for mums and children, with a trained tutor from the Yoga4Families programme. Yoga has many physical, educational and emotional benefits, as well as being a means of relaxation!
TUESDAYS
CAB Advice sessions, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.30-12pm, 9.30-10.30 – appointments, 10.30-12 – drop-in. Access help and info from a Citizens' Advice Bureau worker on a wide range of issues, e.g. housing, benefits, debt, disability, consumer issues, immigration etc.
Mums and Tots Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, morning time tbc. From 6th May.
Weston Park Picnic and Museum trip, on 27th May. Meet at 10am at Burngreave CC to get the bus down together, or meet us there outside the museum at 10.45. Staff will leave the park at 3pm but you can stay longer if you wish. Entrance to the museum and park is free but you will have to pay for your bus fares – there are lots of hands-on, educational activities for children at the museum!
Conversation Class, The Furnival cafe, Verdon Street, 1-3pm. From 29th April. For parents who want to practise their English in a relaxed and informal setting!
Positive Parenting course, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1-3pm. From 15th January until 18th March. New course running from 13th May until 15th July (with introductory creche session on 6th May and no session during half-term week)

Spring Bank Fun Day, Owlerbrook Children's Centre, 11am-2.30pm. On 28th May – enjoy arts & crafts, facepainting, and indoor and outdoor fun!

Fir Vale Community Clinic, Owlerbrook Children's Centre, 9.30-11am. Get support in a confidential and friendly way from a Health Visitor, Early Years worker, midwife offering baby massage and postnatal support (every week) and speech therapist (monthly). Baby massage also available (weekly).
Graves Park Picnic and Animal Centre trip, on 29th May. Meet at 10am at Burngreave CC to get the bus down together, or meet us outside the Park Cafe at 11am. There is an Animal Centre at the park – entrance is free but you will need to pay for your bus fares. Staff will leave at 3pm but you can stay for longer if you wish!

Big Cook, Little Cook, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1-2.30pm. From 24th April until 3rd July. For parents and children over 2 – have a fun time cooking together with your kids while learning about healthy eating.

FRIDAYS
Play and Say, Burngreave Children's Centre, 10-11.30am. From 25th April onwards, ongoing in 5-week blocks. For children over 2 – developing children’s communication and speaking skills, alongside encouraging play between parents and children with fun activities – help your little ones gain in confidence! Will link into the next Talking Toddlers course which we are hoping to run.
Basic Numeracy, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1-3pm. From 18th April to 16th May, 5 week basic numeracy course for parents which will lead on to a basic literacy course.
